A Hamptons Jazz Fest concert and a stage acting class are coming to the Southampton Arts Center this weekend, starting Saturday at 7 p.m. with a performance by the Robin Verheyen Quartet.

Since winning the Django d'Or prize in 2008, Mr. Verheyen, a saxophonist from Belgium, has performed around the world and recorded with such Grammy Award-winning artists as Roy Hargrove, Maria Schneider, and Branford Marsalis. In May 2009, France's Jazz Magazine named him one of the top 12 European saxophone players. Tickets are $35, $30 for members, and $15 for students.

Starting Monday at 7 p.m., the arts center will offer "Introduction to Stage Acting," a six-week workshop led by the actor-director-producers Kate Mueth, the founder of the Neo-Political Cowgirls, and Josh Gladstone, the former artistic director of Guild Hall.

Aimed at both beginners and those with some acting experience, the classes will feature play-centered theater games, improvisation, text work, and vocal and movement exercises.

The cost is $600, $550 for members of the center.
